ERA funds a small number of research grants and student scholarships each year, awarded together with partner universities and built around real mentorship — not just a transfer of money.

In its first phase ERA funds one to two awards per year. Keeping the programme small is a choice — it protects the quality of mentorship and the strength of our university relationships.
We would rather support a few projects well than many thinly.
